I watched the movie "Don't look up"

So I watched the movie "Don't look up" by Adam Mckay. It was truly an eye opening movie given the current state of affairs. How humanity didn't bother saving themselves from a deadly comet, how power structures are so skewed in favor of the rich yet incompetent, how humanity was finally destroyed.

It is a dark comedy where a deadly comet is going to destroy the planet. Kate Dibiaski and Dr. Mindy have only 6 months to warn the president and take some action to divert the comet.

The comet is a metaphor for climate change but it is more apt for the pandemic and how the people in power were either slow to react to it, or were downright in denial about it.

Also, just like in the movie, the pandemic was heavily politicized and each one was trying to cater to their own base without seeing the bigger picture of saving humanity. I loved this movie as it was art reflecting reality. It was also a good warning for us as humans to take science seriously.
